An update regarding Power Move mid-month update emails

An update regarding Power Move mid-month update emails

We've just sent out your mid-month updates for Power Move. Some of the emails we sent have the subject line "Spring update" – that was a mistake. But we've checked the email itself, and all the contents are correct, it’s just the subject line that’s wrong.

We’re sorry for any confusion.

What is the definition of “mid-month”?

For a 31 day month like August, is that all of the consumption on the 1st to the 15th and half of that on the 16th? Does it take account of the weekend days if they’re missed out by that method?

The email I received said 8.76%, but the spreadsheet I use to keep up with my performance gave me a figure of 6.74% for the month so far (including Monday’s consumption).

That’s unrelated to this thread. Most likely reason is that you’re probably hitting the wrong keys on your keyboard and/or accidentally pressing other keys at the same time.

I found that I have to use a different email address for the forum and the Ovo website.

The forum is deliberately not linked to an account. The forum is public which is why no one here can see or relate to your account

Quite true, but when I first signed up for the forum I used my usual email address and was prompted for a password. I chose a secure password, and got on to the forum. My computer remembered my username and password combination, but the next time I logged into the Ovo site the new username and password were entered for me by my computer and I couldn’t log in. Presumably this is because the stored passwords were linked to the website - which hosts both the users’ accounts and the forum. So I went through the forgot-my-password routine to get back in, and found that I couldn’t access the forum the next time I tried.

It wasn’t until Power Move that I made much use of the forum, and eventually the penny dropped and I set up the forum account with a different username.

Hi @Michael D Hendry

I’ve checked this with the team. They’ve responded saying:

“The mid-month is always a snapshot from the 15th, so for example in your case, you wouldn't have had the weekend of the 17th and 18th included.”

It’s in the app these days! Check there - you’ll see it pretty quickly.

Where?  I can see my daily usage but nowhere can I find where I stand for the £12.00 money off my bill.  Usually, just after the 15th of every month, OVO sends an Email letting me know where I stand on this.

If you go into the app, scroll down and tap Power Move, you’ll see everything you’re after there in near real-time as in you get them weekly now.

Mid-month emails have been disabled as they’re now deprecated.

No worries.

Strictly speaking, Kindle Fire devices are not supported because they run a heavily modified version of Android. Any bugs that are Kindle Fire specific probably won’t get fixed.
