Should be possible as there are SMETS Commands for it that can be run under the Supplier role. :)

I'm not sure whether it is setup for two rates, would this be a question for the engineer that installed it? The other versions of the same Meyer have the 2nd rate available.

Rate 01 I the only rate available, the only other figures related to import, export, etc

I finally got to play with one of these meters and it seems a combination of what’s been said is true. They are capable of more than one rate and you found the scrolling through part. To read the second rate, you need to follow the earlier instructions of holding both buttons for approx 10 seconds then release and your scroll should then show the second register alongside the other parameters.

Ok, thanks! We’ll give that a try.

It took me a few goes to get to see R02. It’s a strange set up

Is this the elusive manual people are looking for:

Hmm… That manual doesn’t fill me with much confidence…

It’s no wonder those things keep bricking...

So I’ve just read pretty much the entire 143 page tech manual for that meter. Sheesh, I thought the Aclara one was long as 109 pages!!! But this one is worse…

It actually took me an entire day to read it for once.

Unfortunately, while it does confirm that model tracks exports, it fails to explain how to get to said reading. I’ll just have to assume that button mashing will get you there eventually.

And whoever thought that a tiny little square icon to indicate supply status was a good idea… Really needs to rethink UI/UX designs… Sigh…

There’s a reason why Secure uses ON, ARMED, and OFF text and why Aclara and Flonidan both have super easy to understand icons!!!

A big round of applause for managing to get through that whole 143 page manual, @Blastoise186! Like it or not, you’re now up there with our mate Luke for L&G questions 🤣

I started this post over a year ago:  now that I am registered for exporting and have an export Mpan (and that took 6 months) I have now successfully foundthe export readings I need, not though easy and very slow scrolling thorough the permutations.  The other nuisance is that its really difficult to see the readings and a strong external light needed to take a photo even with flash.

Im really not suprised that so may members have had this problem but hope they get the result they want.

11k views, @Freebo - nice work!

I’ll make that the ‘best answer’ of this topic.

In the display, I find out 3 export readings as follows.

Total Act Export, Total App Export, Total Rea Export.

What do they mean ?

Which export should I read to provide to E.on Next ?

Hi @Kevin Park ,

It’d be Total Act/Account Export :)

Thanks @Blastoise186 for answering.

Do you know how they (Act, App, Rea) are different ?

This page tells you how to read for export:

Hi all, I am the (un)fortunate owner of a Landis & Gyr E470 type 5533 and cannot get the R2 read to show up for love nor money! I have tried the instructions above of holding down both A & B buttons for 10 seconds then pressing A to scroll through the screens but this doesn't work. I can find total import, total export and R1 import but no other reads. There must be a knack to this or something I am doing wrong. Any tips?

Howdy @Hobgoblin ,

Sorry to be a pain but could you snap a photo of the meter and post it here for us?

Just wanna make sure I’m thinking of the right variant - cuz there’s a TON of these pesky L+G E470 versions!

Ok, just to check - are you sure it’s the R2 reading you want? Or something else?

Just need to clarify exactly what you’re after so I can grab the right answer for ya!

Definitely the R2 read. I have solar panels and have found the export read no problem but looking to move to economy 7 and need to be able to find the readings before I'm willing to make the move!

Gotcha!

I think I got it. And it’s quite stupid how this works - which is why L+G is the bane of my life! You’re probably actually after the R02 reading.

Try this one:

  • Wake up the display
  • Hold B for a few seconds
  • Press A a few times and it should give you several readings - one of those should be right

Please note that this reading may not be available if the meter is currently running on a Single-Rate tariff. You’d need to use MyOVO in that case under the Usage tab.

Sadly that hasn't worked. It may be as you say that with the R2 not active then it won't show but you would think it should show up as a zero read. Thanks for replying so quickly though, much appreciated!
