Being a new customer shouldn’t be an issue - it’d just take longer before you could make such a request as you’d have to wait for the entire switching process to finish first.

I’ve asked backstage for some more thoughts on this. We’ll keep you posted. It could just be a simple case of whoever you’re talking to has outdated info or isn’t using the internal knowledgebase properly.

Thanks, i did ask them to double check and they came back saying the notes had been updated and that the OVO forum @Emmanuelle_OVO was out of date and they would get that corrected.. so will see who is correct.

Thanks again

Hey all,

Just to confirm are we after a 3 phase new connection or a 3 Phase CT installation?

In both cases I believe our contractors should be able to do both!

CT Meter installation on a Three phase supply. They are quite adamant that OVO no longer do this

I’ve chased up the new connections team internally to 100% find out.

We definitely do 3 phase new connections but CT metering hasnt been something we’ve done internally and I believe it is outsourced.

‘Just had a quick look, so is this a customer with a brand new supply needing us to register as a new connection?

If so, they can tell the agent who will be submitting their new connection application that a 3 phase or CT meter is required. As an extra step to the new connection process, the team would ask ESG to send flows to appoint SMS as the MOP, when that has been accepted, we can then request SMS to book this appointment in. I do believe, there may a slightly longer waiting time for these appointments due to the engineer capabilities required for the job.’

Can I ask @ratki9999 to please give it another go. Let me know how it goes.
