Can someone tell me what will OVO's economy7 day, night, and standing charge rates be from 1st June 2023 for ex SSE customers in Hampshire?

The prices you see after putting in the postcode on the page Our prices | OVO Energy are not likely to change before 1 July, when they might just fall a bit. There are a couple of filters on the page to help you focus your search.

Ofgem will release the price cap changes on 25 May 2023 for the 1st July.

So we will get some idea what ovo will charge from 1st July then.

But will have to wait till ovo release their own actual rates. OVO are typically poor at getting their rates published quickly compared to many other suppliers  unfortunately. I have not seen that improve since i have been with ovo.

Hi @johnlbrooks ,

I’m afraid that information isn’t available yet. However, it will be accessible via https://plans.ovoenergy.com towards the end of May. Any fix deal from SSE will be honoured for the remainder of its term however. Otherwise, the rates will be the same for everyone who migrated from SSE automatically as they’ll be for everyone who chose OVO directly.

Hope this helps!

Many thanks.  I hadn’t realised until recently how different the various suppliers day and night rates can be - I could have saved about £200 over the last year by switching to EDF who have had lower night rates.  I shall have to compare again in very late June.

Also rates now change every quarter if you are on the default variable plan so you will have to keep an eye on things.

In theory the new industry faster switching service means switching suppliers should normally occur in 5 working days unless there are issues.
