I have recently switched to OVO. I understand that I need to activate Charge Anytime using my online account.
The problem is I don’t seem to have this option. I have been to the ‘offers and upgrades’ page where it tells me about Charge Anytime, but I don’t seem to have any way to actually add it to my account.
The website structure is still quite confusing and limited to certain chargers. The actual app has a much longer compatibility list.
If you download the Charge Anytime app and follow its setup instructions, you should be able to link your account without going through the Ovo website form.
You will need the login details for your car’s own app and for your Ovo account.
Hmm - ok. You have a smart meter etc presumably? I wonder if the meter ‘adoption’ process needs to become secure first. It can take a few weeks for this to happen

I have been having a similar issue. I have been an OVO customer for years but did not have a smart meter. I had a smart meter installed yesterday have downloaded and gone through the app which recognised my car (Q8 etron) but when I hit complete app goes away thinks a while and then say try again :(. Done this a few times but no luck. Do I leave it for some time for the smart meter to be updated in the system?
Be good to have a cheat sheet on the process and include possible causes of issues and what to do.

Hi @KCelectric yes, there is a note on the Anytime page which suggests that it will take a few weeks after a smart meter is installed to be communicating frequently enough for the Anytime product to be used.
I realise that this piece mentions switching but smart meters take the same time to settle
