Smart meter readings for Power Move? Anyone else had an outage on the 11th of December?

Hi has anybody else had a similar outage?

On the 11th of December my electricity smart meter stopped sending half hourly readings to OVO. Funnily enough my dad who is with EDF experienced the same outage in smart readings on the same day. 
 

Which now means I can’t take part in PowerMove. 
I’ve emailed OVO support and got the reply to wait 32 days to see if the meter will reset itself.

My meter had a ‘missing day’ on 12th December but since then the day’s data has been recovered. There were some communication network events during that time.

It’s probably just a temporary issue in your area, it seems fine for me. I’d say keep an eye on it for now!

Appreciate this is an older post but did this ever get sorted?

 

Mines been missing since the end of November now and don’t seem to be having much luck with support.

I'm just missing half hourly readings for electric. Although gas are going through fine along with daily reads for electric. They were working fine since I moved around 2 years ago and then suddenly stopped working - Precisely at 6pm November 20th judging by the graph.

I have called support and they are having a look into it, just thought that the original poster may have been able to provide some insight and rule out something.

Oddly enough it happened shortly after a separate issue with power move where I couldn't take part at all.

Will do. Going to call tomorrow as I've noticed that the meter itself isn't showing the date and time, it's just blank.

From my limited understanding it logs the reads every half hour but sends them once a day. I'm guessing if there's no time it can't associate those together.

Hoping it can just be remotely updated or something. Could be completely unlinked but worth a shot.

I'm also concerned that, without half hourly reads, I won't be able to get battery boost credits unless that works directly from the inverter data.

Sorry to hear about all of this.

 

If the display has gone blank, can’t be read and it can’t be turned back on by pushing buttons, then you’ll need a replacement meter. 

 

 

If you’ve not done so already, definitely contact the Support Team about this so they can arrange an exchange.
