Quick thought, make sure you put the washing machine on during the week, particularly if you have a cold water fill and are using a 40c wash or above. If you use it at the weekend it won’t help you

Hi Sally, only on Mon, Weds in the morning at the moment.

@fancyabrew  not suggesting we lived longer in 50s and you quote statistics? Here's one one for you.

27 billion irrelevant posts and comments on the internet in 2023.

You just happen to be one of them. If you don't understand my point why bother to respond?

Say hello to my mum when you join her long before your time! You may learn something!

@GilDean I think we need to move on from this thread which is becoming more Dr Phil and Jeremy Kyle than Power Move !

I get around 300 emails a week on average. Sometimes more, sometimes less - it all depends on what’s going on really.

To achieve the Power Move target you have to use electricity tactfully. I have overnight storage and water heating so a good proportion of my energy is used during this time. Between 4-7pm if I am at home keep heating and lighting to a minimum and in only one room. I do not use the oven, washing machine or any other high consumoption appliances during 4-7pm. Generally I am out for 2 out of the 5 days so energy usage is miminal then.

My latest mid-month report for February suggests I am using just 2.23% of my energy during 4-7pm. I could therefore ease up on my frugal use of energy during Power Move. It does prove achieving the Power Move target is possible but you need to be tactical in your energy use.
