Hi. I am moving into a flat that has ecomony 7. I have not used this before and I want to know the times for when the ecomony 7 hours start and end. I don't know the series number so I took a photo of the clock timer meter. Thanks

Cheers @Suzy. Could you privately message me your address instead so I can check your peak and off peak times?

Hey @Blackleaf. Your off peak times run between 2300 to 0715 and 2245 to 2300. Your peak times run from 0715 to 2245.

Hope this helps!

Hello, please let me know our Economy 7 peak and off-peak times. Our MPAN is XXXXXXXXXXXX. Thanks!
Hey @njandmf

Your meter has an off peak time of 23:30 - 06:30 and a peak time of 06:30 - 23:30. The meter has a timeswitch so doesn't automatically adjust to the seasonal clock changes. For example, as we're in British Summer Time (BST) at the moment your off peak is 00:30 - 07:30.

Hope this helps!

Emma
Hello.

Could you tell me my off-peak hours please? The number on the meter is: XXXXXXXXXX

Thanks
Hey @djrose

Your off peak time clocks 00:30 - 07:30 and your peak time clocks 07:30 - 00:30.

Your meter has a teleswtich so the times automatically adjust based on seasonal clock changes. This means you'll know your peak and off peak times will always be the same throughout the year.

Hope this helps!

Hey @HevBuckwell- Your Peak times run from 0730 to 0030 and your Off Peak times are from 0030 to 0730.

@Steve_D - I’m not sure what that number is! I’ll need either your Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN) or your Meter Serial Number (MSN). Your MPAN can be found on any statements and is 21 digits long. Your MSN can be found on your meter engraved onto the meter box or on a sticker attached to the meter.

Alternately, private message me your address and I can help further. 🙂
Hi Lucy,

Sorry, that was the meter reference from my my-ovo account. The MPAN from the bill is XXXXXXXXXXXX.

Hey @Steve_D- your Peak times are from 0700-2400 and your Off Peak times are from 0000-0700.

@Louand47- those numbers look odd as they have a percentage sign in them. What number is this meant to be?

@jacks785- sure thing. Your Off Peak times run from 0130-0630 and 2130-2330 and your Peak times are from 2330-0130 and from 0630-2130.
Hello. Would you mind checking our off peak times please? Our meter number is XXXXXXXXXX.
Also, do these change when the clocks do?
Thanks in advance,

Hey @Caz10,

Your Peak times run from 0700 to 2400 and your Off Peak times are from 0000 to 0700. As you have a Timeswitch, your meter remains on GMT even in British Summer Time. 🙂

Lucy
Thanks @Lucy_OVO :)

If it helps anyone else, after posting my request here I found the information hidden on one of the "pages" / "views" on the remote display unit from my smart meter. It shows the times / rates in a list.

Been religiously switching on appliances at 1pm & turning off at 4pm, plus same 8pm-10pm, only to find cheap rate hasn't been kicking in till 2pm and 9pm - and this has been going on since meter installed in 2014! When I picked the Eco10 for new house, Ovo had assured me that the new meters self-adjusted to standardise times throughout the year, and I didn't have to adjust my usage according to GMT/BST.

They're onto this and looking into it now, but has anyone else had the same problem?

I have a smart meter. I think its easier to forget about BST and GMT. I just remember that in the winter period its 00.00 to 07:00 and in the summer 01:00 to 08:00.

Incidentally I find I save rather more than I expected using the cheap rate. I have put my dish washer and clothes washer on might use and set my PHEV (car) to be fully charged just at the end of the cheap period. With a little effort dual pricing can save real dosh!
My meter number XXXXXXXXXX, what are our economy 7 time periods please?
many thanks

Hi Lucy,

You replied to my earlier note and mentioned that there was a % sign on my meter number. These are the 2 stick on bits of paper on the meter. I only have 1 meter with 2 dials on it ad there doesn't appear to be any other number than this one.

Can you check at your end please when my peak and off peak works.

Many thanks

@Shenmorehewitt - your Peak times are from 0730-0030 and your Off Peak times are from 0030 - 0730.

@Louand47 - Hmm, this doesn't sound right. Your Meter Serial Number (MSN) shouldn’t contain a % symbol. I think I’ve figured it out though - your MSN looks to be XXXXXXXXXX. Based on this, your Peak times are from 0600 - 2200 and from 2300 - 2400. Your Off Peak times are from 000 - 0600 and 2200 - 2300.

@Leanne0998- Sure thing. Your Peak times are from 0700 - 2300 and from 2300 - 2400. Your Off peak times are from 0000 - 0700.
