Hey @RazorFamily

Glad to see Blastoise186 has already stopped by with some helpful advice here, I’d just like to add to what he’s already mentioned.

As everything’s controlled on the meter, add-ons etc are unfortunately not possible on PAYG meters. The difference in app functionality and capability from PAYG to Pay monthly are very different, the PAYG app is limited to the infrastructural functions set by Paypoint, so there's no capability for an online account set up like you get with pay monthly.

If you don’t already have smart meters installed we’d recommend getting that booked in, as well as switching to pay monthly if this is possible for you so that you can make use of additional add-ons or rewards. You would need to call the Support Team to request this, but making the change to pay monthly would open up add-ons like Heat Pump Plus or a different tariff.

We also have a Priority Services Register, if you or someone in your household needs extra support – for medical reasons or otherwise – there’s a lot we can do to help. From notice about planned power cuts, to large-print bills and braille. Find out more about who we can help and how. Or sign up now by filling out this form. Our Customer Support Package is also available if you’ve not already applied for this you can do so here.

I do hope this helps clear things up a little more, if you do have any other questions, do let us know.

Hi @RazorFamily ,

PAYG is always no-frills across the market I’m afraid. There’s various reasons why but one of them is technical/infrastructure limitations - it’s just not possible to offer 99% of the fancy stuff. Fixed Rate Tariffs are also impossible on PAYG because there’s just no way to do them.

You may wish to consider switching to Direct Debit instead, especially with an ASHP
