How long is an RTI code valid for?


I was given an RTI code for a £100 refund. I’ve had flu so not been able to go to shop to put on my key. Does the RTI code have an expiry date?

Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well at the moment - I wish you a speedy recovery.

 

As for the RTI Code, provided you keep it safe for now you should be fine as IIRC they last six months and can be re-issued if you somehow forgot to redeem it. Please do redeem it at your earliest convenience once you feel able to though, so that you can benefit from it sooner rather than later. But there’s no need to rush so please feel free to focus on your recovery for now if that helps.

 

If needed, you can also ask a trusted friend to redeem it onto the Key for you. I generally recommend you do it yourself if you can, but there’s always that option if you feel it might be easier.

 

If, however, you find yourself unable to redeem it at all, please let OVO Support know as they may be able to send out an engineer to process the code on your behalf.
