Help !!!

Hi, hope someone can help. Had a new pre paid gas meter installed last Monday after mine had failed. Unfortunately OVO have not supplied a new card as they said they would, shops they stated stoke them don't. Fortunately I have located a shop with OVO cards, OVO have sent me 2 codes that don't bloody work...what fo I do know?? And to top it all the customer service personally said he couldn't help me due to his shift finishing in 2 minutes 😱😱😱😡😡😡 can someone help.

Welcome to the community, 

 

Did you manage to contact someone on our support team about your card? It could be really helpful to check whether your meter is still the traditional top-up style or if you can use the app to top up. Using the app could make things a lot easier and help prevent any issues like this in the future!

 

With newer Smart meters you can top up through the OVO Top Up app, rather than having to top up at a paypoint. You can find more information here:

Hi There, unfortunately not OVO have sent me yet another RTI code to activate a card, but once again the code it isnot activated. 

Fortunately British Gas have stepped in and helped. My partner rung them to ask for advice as we are not getting anywhere with OVO. They have gave us a emergency RTI code which has worked, so im just on my way to top my cars up as we speak 😁😁

Just a warning…

RTI Codes from other suppliers will NOT work unless it’s a Change of Supplier code - which would come on a new Key/Card anyway.

You can only use those which came from whoever the ACTIVE supplier is.

Need help on this matter, no matter what I do my meter or card will not work. A new OVO card is stating invalid at the Pay point or won't accept a OVO RTI....where do I go from here...please help.

You’ll need to talk to OVO Support, try Live Chat via the options below.

If you show me photos of the meter, I might be able to give better advice.


I tried topping my metre up but when I put the card in a message comes up saying Ring Help

The meter has detected a fault, please call OVO ASAP about that one and they’ll take a look.
