Hi all,

I am not sure do any one have same issue or just my family. Received any shocking message from OVO again. tariff rate increase is expectable however what we could expect is how come the tariff in December 22 ( Suppose the December 22  rate is under the contract of Oct 22)

In our bill, the tariff for power and gas from 01 Oct 22 to 31 Dec 22:-

Gas Standard charge  - 31.93p/day

Gas tariff rate - 10.56p/kWh

Electricity standard charge - 42.53p/day

Day energy tariff rate - 41.69p/kWh

Night energy tariff rate - 20.91p/kWh

Regardless the new tariff rate from 1st January 2023, the “current” tariff is totally different.

Gas Standard charge  - 33.53p/day

Gas tariff rate - 11.09p/kWh

Electricity standard charge - 44.6/day

Day energy tariff rate - 43.77p/kWh

Night energy tariff rate - 21.96p/kWh

Anyone have experience and explain why ?

Hi @cyc1683

Not sure of the answer, but can you confirm if you have changed method of payment? Did you previously have a direct debit? How do you pay now?

OVO being confusing, I’m afraid. If you look at the bill details, you’ll see in the Summary of charges that that after working out the fuel cost, VAT is added. However, on the notification of price changes, you’ll see at the bottom that “All prices and costs shown above include VAT at 5%. Your unit rates and standing charges might show differently on your bills.”

The difference is just the VAT.

Thank you for your explanation, this looks more reasonable however OVO shall improve their presentation.

I am not the person love to read all single word especially those size 6 text.
