Quarterly to monthly Bills

Hi All

i have been on a quarterly billing cycle since i automatically got transferred to ovo years ago, i have now had an email informing me that i am now moving to monthly bills, i know ovo do not do monthly billing for new customers but i would still prefer a quarterly bill instead of monthly as thats what i have always had. does anybody know if this is somethng i can stay on or is it a non negotiable change that all customers now have been moved to?

any help appreciated.

Welcome to the community!

All new OVO customers begin with monthly billing. Some existing customers have been on quarterly billing, but all customers are now being switched to monthly billing.  This should make it easier for you to keep track of your home’s energy use and make it less likely that a big balance will build up on your account.

AFAIK this is a non-negotiable change. You might be able to request quarterly payments via 0800 069 9831 but quarterly bills are going away across ALL suppliers.

It’s been a long time coming with suppliers slowly phasing it out, albeit with some being slower than others. There’s basically no future for Quarterly Billing when Monthly is superior in so many ways, so I’m afraid once a particular Supplier gets rid of it, they won’t revert the changes.
