My old RTS Meter (for off peak heating only) was switched off years ago - anybody in the same boat and waiting for a replacement?

Hey @Hermes

Sorry to hear about this.

I’m going to send you a private message to gain some details so we can make sure you get the meter replaced in time if need be.

If it’s been switched off for some time, that would suggest it’s no longer reliant on the Radio Teleswitch that’s due to be turned off, but I’d like to be sure so do reply to my PM so we can make sure.

The meter has been switched off for years and was due to be replaced by both your predecessors and You.  I’ve been trying to have this addressed for years but nobody does anything.  The meter has been stuck on the same reading for all those years but just st recently has started to move occasionally- I do t actually use it so will not be paying anything on that particular account until it’s been sorted out.  I am absolutely fed up with this s ongoing saga between Southern Electrc and OVO

Hey @Hermes,

I saw that @Abby_OVO reached out to you before to offer her support. I just checked in with her, and she mentioned that she had asked for some account information but hasn't heard back from you. She'll be in touch again soon to gather more details. We'll do our best to find the best way to help you!

Excuse me / I have been in touch and I certainly won’t use your holding reply as a means for OVO to deny communication- there’s years of it! 😡

@Hermes I wonder if you’re misunderstanding the role of this forum. It isn’t an annex to or agent of customer support; it’s a place where energy consumers can help and be helped by other energy consumers. It’s run by OVO, so of course most of the content is by OVO customers, but it’s open to everyone.

Because it’s run by OVO, there is a team of four or five OVO employees who manage the whole show, keeping it clean and tidy and stepping in to help where they can. Some of them come from earlier jobs in OVO customer support, so they know how things work (or don’t work) over there, and often have personal contacts around the business they can call upon when necessary to help solve particularly thorny problems. This is what Abby was doing in your case. No-one in this forum has access to customer accounts, so she will have no idea what conversations you may have had with Support in the past. You may have been in touch with Support, but you have apparently not been in touch with the forum moderator who is offering to help you navigate the jungle. Please respond to her.

@Hermes

I wrote “No-one in this forum has access to customer accounts, so [Abby] will have no idea what conversations you may have had with Support in the past.” It’s several weeks since she wrote “I’m going to send you a private message to gain some details,” but @Chris_OVO reported yesterday that you hadn’t replied to Abby’s message. That’s what I was referring to when I wrote “Please respond to her”.
