I had x12 440w panels and a 9.5 & 5.4kwh GivEnergy batteries fitted earlier this year and I am really pleased with performance. This will be my first winter using Battery Boost and to date I am not sure about it especially when the heating will be on fully (electric only with no heat pump). I find it to be too intermittent, I would prefer to wake up with a minimum of 50% in the battery.

Those of you that have had battery boost for a while are you happy with it?

Many thanks.

I have a simular set up and stuck with it for a while before jumping ship. It (OVO/Kaluza)charged the battery to about 75% during the winter and about 45% during the summer. However this was not totally reliable; sometimes it didn't charge the battery at all!

Add in the crazy rebate system that they use to pay you. It was enough for me.

Additionally, if you have an EV, it is not compatible with Charge Anytime (you have to choose one or the other). As far as I know it still isn't! Then they DOUBLED the CA prices!

In the end I left the madhouse that is OVO for Octopus Go - battery changed to 100% every night and an understandable billing system.

Sanity!

I was with OVO then I got solar and battery this year and the numbers did not stack up if I stayed with OVO. I have heat pump and EV too. I have moved to Eon next.

I was nearly £1000 in credit and getting OVO to refund that credit has been painful. They say that the refund should take 10. I can say for me it did not.
