Hi, As we were out for vacation, We have turned off all the appliances and also shut down the main power switch. But, in OVO app, I could see a daily price variation for the usage of electricity. It keeps increasing daily. How this power consumption could be possible ? I would like to hear back on this query. Thanks in advance!

Anyone having trouble with latest update to the App ? I updated to new version on iPad last night but today it won’t let me in and tells me I must load the latest update. When I go to Apple Store it tells me I am already up to date and click OPEN, the App then tells me again that I must load the latest update. Going round in circles.

How can I ensure my self-generated solar electricity that I consume (not export) is recorded separately from what is imported from the grid - I can understand paying my electricity supplier for what I import from the Gris, but surely not what my solar PV system self-generates - at present, I know everything (self generated electricity and import from the Grid) is included in one single reading on a smart meter (SMET2) register and my electricity supplier has been charging me for it - really frustrating as my electricity supplier has no incentive to get the problem resolved

Hi got an email about replacing old meter phoned the number on email 03330341622 got a voicemail saying lines are very busy then got two rings then someone answered asked for account number and name then they just said OK I told him I needed to replace meter and he said he will check,phone just went silent for a few minutes then I hung up didn't seem right does this sound legit to anyone

Does anyone know why over a year with Ovo energy a customer still can’t login to their account via the app and still have to be transferred via online account not strange technology What’s complex about accessing your account to view/ send meter readings etc and after this time period Ovo energy haven’t done anything about it

I am so frustrated with OVO. We moved into a property 12 weeks ago and were already signed up to another supplier. The property is very old and has been vacant for a few years. We started (and are still getting) bills for previous owners. Like others on this site we sent evidence of completion dates, proof of being signed up and billed by our own supplier, and still the matter is not resolved. Our own supplier can see we are registered with them on the central register and not with OVO. We have never defaulted on bill paying. I am so stressed and spent a long time last night sending exactly the same proof again. Twice I’ve had a ‘so sorry we sometimes get things wrong…we’ll be in touch in two days’ and twice I just get more bills. And sometimes I even get, we’re sorry your details don’t match an account with us. No kidding, maybe it’s because I’ve never been an OVO customer. OVO please sort out your practices. Thank you

Has anybody else experienced brownout in the evenings? All summer we have had occasional dimming lights, now its winter we’re experiencing BIG problems charging appliances and especially with electronics in the evenings. my phones and tablet charge fine untll evening when they refuse to charge at all. i dont think chargers that worked before, now work on and off depending on their mood. then work perfectly in daytime! I didnt know what brownout was but in the carrebean it used to happen daily as their generator couldnt supply enough power for the demand. they got a bigger one since then. is there anything i could purchase to help with the problem?

Hi, we have had the low battery warning indicator on our PAYG meter for a week or so. Spoke to OVO who say, it will have to run down to zero before they will replace? - as they don’t do scheduled call outs and it will have to become an emergency. Don’t like the idea of having to let it run down like that, as it’s unpredictable? Apparently it will start beeping when it gets really low? Also what happens to any remaining credit on the meter if the battery dies? It’s not a smart meter. We wanted to top up before the increase in October?

I have a bluesun BSE6KL1 hybrid solar inverter (rebadged Megarevo R6KL) and Solarman smart App. I am failing to set the following parameters on either device: Grid Ctrl: P%_Feed P_Feed P%_Back P_Back As soon as I switch to grid the inverter tries to send PV W back to the grid. As I dont have a feedback/two way meter it causes a major fault/trip. Currently P%_Feed is 100% and I cant change it. I can see the setting on the inverter menu but it wont allow me to change it

How do I get help with a billing query about Heat Pump Plus credit? Problem: I have a heat pump and I’m using the Heat Pump Plus tariff. Each month I get a bill credit for the difference between the standard rate and the heat pump plus rate. Last month’s energy bill didn’t include any Heat Pump Plus credit. This seems like billing error and I wanted to understand why. Sounds like a straightforward question that should be easy enough for customer services to answer, right? Sadly not. After 50 minutes on online chat, I was told “that’s a different department and I can’t help you via online chat” and I need to phone Corgi. That didn’t seem right and I can’t spend ages on the phone. So, I wrote an email to hello@ovo… and today I got a very confusing reply about a “gas boiler that you’ve just discovered” and I need to phone Corgi about my insurance product. Hello, Does anyone know when Ovo are publishing the Simpler Energy (variable plan) unit costs for when the cost cap increases in October? All the articles say it's going up by 10%, but I want to know how this is being wrapped into the unit rates and standing charges which can go up be varying amounts, say 8% and 12%, such that the average for an average household = 10%. Hi everyone, So, there’s a lot of talk/speculation about fuel prices increasing in October, my question is, would I benefit from changing to my current plan which is at the variable rate (Simpler Energy) to another plan, eg, a one year fixed price plan? I have done a comparison of rates and standing charges and it seems a ‘swings and roundabouts’ thing, but of course that is as things are currently. I understand no-one has a crystal ball but I’m interested in people’s opinions Thank you.

Although I don’t rely on email reminders reminding me submit a meter reading for my traditional meter. I suspect there may well be those customers who do require a prompt. Normally it lands 5 days prior to my billing cycle ending, but no such email this month. Don’t know if it’s account specific or if there has been a system change to email reminders. Hi folks, I am with OVO Energy for both Electric & Gas, however I am looking at implementing, Power usage, Live updates, Balance into Home Assistant, I have tried using the API Method in Home Assistant but the problem is that I get an Authentication error. Reason why I want to do this, the IHS is no use to me as I travel a lot and I have servers for my business which I need to keep online, the Live snapshot in the OVO app doesn’t always update, not only that I cannot see live statistics without the old IHS Display. Now I have looked the manual for the Electric Meter which a Secure Liberty 100 it supports ZigBee ZSEP1.1, it also has a Optical IEC1107 connection on front the Electric Meter which can be used for local readings i.e Power Consumption, Balance etc. From reading in the Manual for this Meter it says that it can be enabled or disabled now could this Optical IEC1107 be enabled for local readings ?
