Bathroom extractor fan has flashing orange light, why?

Hi, I’ve recently turned my bathroom extractor fan back on and I’ve noticed that it has a flashing orange LED, right next to a green one. Any idea what this means? I don’t know the exact model but the brand is Nuaire and it’s mounted on the ceiling.

There’s one other thing to note @bbriii , that device has a hydrometer sensor which monitors water vapour levels. It’s possible at this time of year that they are higher than normal. As others have said, the manual doesn’t help but the flashing light might be to do with that.
Here’s an extract from a different model which might give a clue

Hi @bbriii

You could post some pictures of the device on this forum in case someone recognises they have the same model.

Have you looked on their website to see if you can spot the model

I’m unable to take pictures at the moment but I’m fairly certain it’s an ISENSE-PLUS DMEV FAN

I’ve reviewed the user manual, but there’s nothing obvious in either version that explains this.

Nothing obvious in the manual for that model. So perhaps it is another model.

I would try taking some pictures if I were you and emailing to the manufactures.

Like @Jeffus and @Blastoise186, I had a look at the manuals and couldn't find anything abvious.

Is the light on the front cover itself or is it glowing from behind the front cover?

If it has been off for a while, bearing in mind that they are generally intended to be on continuosly, my initial thought would be that it needs to be cleaned or have a filter replaced .. or that there is a humidity problem.

Hey @bbriii,

Good suggestion here from MCH59:

I think your best bet to know for sure would be to contact the manufacturers, would be really interested to know what they say!

Hi, quick update. I believe the fan wasn’t operating properly due to dust build up. I removed the front and gave it a wipe down and the light no longer seems to flash. The fan doesn’t run continuously however.

You are going to be the forum expert on bathroom fans @bbriii 😁
