Hey @tlatus,

Contact Boost Energy and they’ll talk you through it.

According to the website you’ll then be put in touch with Citizens Advice Plymouth.

You can check out more at the dedicated webpage here: https://www.boostpower.co.uk/help/payments-and-top-ups/boost-energy-fund

Hope this helps.

Hi @tlatus ,

Sure thing. Can you confirm which energy fund you’re asking about?

I think you meant this one perhaps? https://winter-support-package.ovoenergy.com/

H Blastoise186,

So there is this information on BOOST site, , are you the same supplier?

Am I eligible for the Boost Energy Fund?

You can apply to the fund if:

  • You have or have had an account with Boost
  • You’ve run up a debt on your gas or electricity meter of at least £150.
  • Your annual household income is £16,190 or less.
  • You have a valid reason affecting your ability to pay.

OVO and Boost share the same license, but they are technically different suppliers. However, both have very similar schemes of that type.

For OVO, it’s best to use that link above right now. If you qualify for funding, the Customer Support Package will recommend it. But there’s also options at https://www.ovoenergy.com/help/debt-and-energy-assistance/

If you’re on Boost, you can use the Boost Energy Fund instead.

Thank you  for that, would you know where I can find the application form for BOOST?

I can’t get in touch with them by phone ( only taking emergency calls), by webchat ( not taking any new messages), Email ( email address now closed), email complaint   - no response or acknowledgement.

Thanks again for your help.

Sure thing. For now, that same OVO link I posted will work for OVO, Boost and SSE freely so you can just use that one. I’ll do some digging around in case I can find any others for you.

I’m only an OVO Forum Volunteer myself, but luckily I’m also experienced in Boost stuff because I’ve done a ton of research of both sides. :)

I’ll be back by the end of the day!

Actually.. Try calling 01752 507703 as that’s the Citizens Advice Plymouth branch that OVO and Boost partnered with to run the scheme. If they don’t answer, leave a voicemail and they’ll call you back.

I’ve tested this number and it should still work.

Hey @tlatus,

Welcome to the OVO Online Community,

I can see that @Blastoise186 has already given some helpful advice here.

Just wanted to add that there is more information about how Boost can support customers with their bills here
