Hi guys,

I’m new to Ovo and have signed up and downloaded the Charge Anytime app.  I have a Porsche Taycan which is currently at 61 percent charged. I want to charge it to 80 percent but the Ovo app is saying the minimum charge level is 50 percent. Unless I do an urgent charge override is there no way of charging it up to 80 percent?
Thanks in advance.

Hey @Si Atk

Did you have any luck with this?

As Blastoise186 mentioned, if you’ve got a compatible charger, you might be better setting that up instead. You can see our full list of compatible EV chargers here.

If you’re still having trouble, I’d definitely recommend getting in touch directly with the Charge Anytime team so they can take a look at your best options.

How to get in contact with the Charge Anytime team

  • Call 0330 175 9678 (Option 1 new customers/option 2 existing customers)

  • Email via chargeanytime@ovo.com

  • Webchat, click the link then the green chat icon at the bottom right of the page

Hi @Si Atk ,

AFAIK it should be possible to set a MAX Charge Limit of 80% without issue - just set it in the vehicle.

However, there may be a more effective way to do this - what Charger do you have?

It’s not the maximum figure that’s a problem it’s the minimum which I cannot change from 50 percent?
My vehicle is actually on 61 percent at the moment and I cannot move the minimum slider to 61 percent to start the charging process. Am I missing something?

I see.

Couple of options I can think of here.

If you have an Indra, Andersen, Nexblue, EVEC or Hypervolt Charger, I’d use that rather than the Porsche for the Charge Anytime integration.

Otherwise, have a word with the team on 0330 175 9678 or chargeanytime@ovo.com and they’ll take a look.

Worth noting the vehicle won’t always immediately start charging anyway - it’ll only start at the scheduled time shown in the CA app.

@Si Atk  pure guess work, but that sounds like you have the car already plugged in, I’ve heard CA doesn’t like being configured after it’s already been connected to the vehicle.

If that’s the case unplugging should see you right. Tho might need a few mins for the CA servers to register the disconnect before any setting change.

Tom…
