We’re excited to share that OVO has won an Energy Referral partnership with Volkswagen Group UK (VWG brands include Audi, Skoda, Cupra, and VW). We launched the OVO-VWG Partnership Monday, 1st July.
What does this mean to customers who sign up to OVO & Drive products?
Up to 10,000 free miles are waiting for you. Thanks to our partnership with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, in your new EV you can collect up to 10,000 free miles when you add Charge Anytime to your OVO energy tariff. Plus, get an extra 1,000 free miles every year for up to 3 years.1*

I’m a VWG customer, what do I need to know?

Any VWG customer can sign up to OVO for their energy

Our customers with a valid VWG EV order number will be able to claim 10,000 free miles (£212 bill credit) on Charge Anytime.

After we confirm your order number with VWG, the credit will be added to your energy account all in one go.

Every year you stay with OVO, an extra 1000 free miles (£21 in bill credit) will be added to your account.

You’ll earn these extra 1000 free miles each year for 3 years
Don’t have an EV yet? You can still bank free miles with Beyond

If you buy a petrol or diesel car with VWG, you can still bank 150 miles through Beyond instead of the standard 100 miles.

Please note, if you’re a VWG customer you won’t be able to see a separate offer in the Beyond app at first. This is because we need to confirm your order number with VWG first. To start with, you’ll bank 100 miles a month in Beyond.

And if you get an EV we’ll then convert these to 150 miles a month when you sign up to Charge Anytime with your VWG order number.

The VWG Beyond Offer is available to eligible new and existing OVO customers on any OVO plan. These customers will need to sign up to OVO Beyond and the VWG Beyond Offer to bank free EV miles prior to purchasing a new fully electric vehicle. To redeem the banked free miles under this VWG Beyond Offer, customers must purchase a new fully electric vehicle and then sign up to Charge Anytime.
Free miles banked will be added to your account and viewable in the OVO App. They’ll be credited as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than the stated miles driving in real life. This is depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors.

Actual efficiency differs depending on multiple variables, including your selected vehicle and configuration, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles, route conditions, speed, vehicle age, battery age and temperature and vehicle load. The actual number of free miles you receive may be less than the maximum 10,000 miles and will depend on the actual efficiency of your selected EV in the real world. Offer is for an estimated number of free miles calculated on the basis of the costs to the customer when they “smart charge” using Charge Anytime.
