Indra Charger and two EVs- Why can't I set up a second app?

For the last year only I have the app for Charge Anytime on my phone. My wife doesn’t have it. Long story to why I have it and a lot of issues relate to setting it up.

fast forward to the other week. I was away working and my wife says her car didn’t charge. I checked the Indra app and could see it didn’t charge. Now my wife wants the app!

However I’ve tried to set the app up for her ( thought just could put my details in on her phone) but doesn’t work. The app says connected on my app on my iPhone but on her Samsung S23 it says not connected.

we have to use an Indra charger as it’s compatible with charge anytime as Our VW e-Golf isn’t a compatible car.

Has anyone had experience with Indra chargers. I’m pretty certain I’m using the the correct app as it’s talking to Ovo and I’m getting the credits but Indra reckon I’m using the incorrect app.
In a nut shell All we want to do is see the charger connected on two different handsets so we can tell it’s in Idle state waiting to charge.

Hey @Davewn2,

The team advised as you have an Indra charger, you'd be better off getting Indra to move your account over to the Indra Web Portal.

To link your Indra charger to your OVO account you’ll need your Indra Web Portal Username and Password

Indra has more than one platform to manage their chargers, and their own app doesn’t support Charge Anytime yet. They’ll need to move your charger over to the platform that does support Charge Anytime.

If you have an Indra charger and you don’t have a username and password you’ll need to contact Indra directly and they can set this up for you. You can find Indra’s support contact details here.

Hope this helps.

Hi @Davewn2 , have you added the second car to your account?
Not sure if this thread might help

There’s also something here about using the ‘correct’ Indra system

We only have one EV but want the app on two phones/devices. Sound simple like install the app on both devices then log in with the one account details on both but unfortunately not working. Ask Indra and either I’m speaking a foreign language or they just don’t understand the issue without throwing obstacles in the way like using the incorrect app.

Ah, ok, I misunderstood.
Presuming that you’ve got the same credentials to log in on both phones (not sure if you need the OVO app in the background).

You could try asking the tech team

That has been in use for a while. Try

I don’t have Ovo charge anytime app. I just have an Indra icon on my phone. It may just be a short cut to the portal. I’m not sure if Chris at Indra has done something because now when the car is plugged in it goes on charge straight away whereas a few weeks ago it would charge 23:00 till the early hours. Therefore I’m missing out on credits.

Hey @Davewn2,

I’m sorry to hear this,

I think the best thing to do is get back in touch with Indra, if that fails, contact chargeanytime@ovoenergy.com.
