Does OVO charge unlock my charger, or do I need to unlock from Hypervolt before OVO can charge?

Hi, i have a new Hypervolt Pro3, that is linked to my Ovo charge account, so Ovo decides when to charge.  My HV account says the charger is locked.  So, do I need to unlock that from the HV account or does Ovo do that when it starts chargjng? There seems to be contradictory information out there on this.

If I "unlock" manually during the OVO scheduled session, will the cost of charging be the 7p per kwh or my standard rate?

Morning, apologies, I had typed out a response, but appears i didnt post it!

After leaving car overnight to see if a Smart Schedule became scheduled, it did not.  So, I simply unplugged the charger, plugged it again and hey presto! ovo app showed a Smart Schedule as did Hypervolt and the car charged in that window.  Not really sure why there was no Smart Schedule showing/active as one would have expected such issues to be ironed out in testing.

Ok! Double checked with Hypervolt.

You need to Unlock the Charger to allow Charge Anytime to run sessions, just like when you use it without CA. https://support.hypervolt.co.uk/en/knowledge-base/the-hypervolt-lock

If you don’t Unlock, CA won’t do it for you because it’s not allowed to.

Well,  managed to get the car charged this morning, but tonight the HV app, which is in "ovo mode" says "ovo has no sessions scheduled"!!!!   WTAF! Really starting to regret signing up to OVO and HV.  It should not be this difficult

Hmm… Sounds like it needs some further diagnostics…

Try calling OVO’s team on Monday using 0330 175 9678 and Hypervolt on 0333 030 3093.

If I have suggestions before then, I’ll let you know. Just to mention though, the vehicle must be plugged in for a schedule to be set - try unplugging for at least 15 minutes and then hook up again so the system resets.

You also need to check the OVO Charge app - it may have a session already scheduled.
