Hi this is the same question I had before BECAUSE I'm getting conflicting info.

I took delivery of a Skoda Enyaq in January and I asked if the 7p kWh hour would apply to me . I was told to email charge anytime team (which i did) but was answered on the forum and I was advised I would just keep going with the 7p.

I thought I'd double check because when charge anytime did finally respond after 6 weeks and made no mention of the 7p but said I need to register for the free miles. So I contacted OVO via telephone and the agent advised I would need to register my cars SLI order number to qualify. I eventually found it and entered it via the link and was advised it could take 2 weeks. So I contacted OVO again yday and after an 1hr 15 wait an agent (nice guy) advised that I would only be eligible if the car was purchased after the 1st of Jan 2025. So today I received this:

So my question is have the OVO agents got confused and will I be staying on 7p kWh but I won't be getting the free 2000 miles? Any help appreciated.

Hi @cyrustom ,

Skoda is a VWG brand, so you probably still qualify for the 7p/kWh rate - you MUST register the vehicle with OVO by providing OVO with the order details in order to get it though. It sounds like you did, so your account should be updated soon.

I hoping so. I think the 2k miles is what is confusing the agents. I believe that is a separate deal for purchases after Jan 25. I'll find out when I first plugin in car I suppose. Cheers

Hey @cyrustom,

As I was going through the release notes in the article we shared, I came across some interesting information that I’d like to share with you!

“How do I get the exclusive pay as you go partnership rate of 7p per kWh?

To be eligible to receive the special partnership rate:

  • Volkswagen Group customers: If you’ve been confirmed as eligible for one of our VWG Retail or Company Car Offers, you’ll be able to keep your 7p/kWh rate for now if you stay on pay as you go. This will also mean you’ll still be eligible for your future Volkswagen Group free miles offers, like your anniversary miles.

You can still switch to a monthly plan if you’d prefer, but if you do, you'll lose your 7p rate and access to your future Volkswagen Group free miles offers.

Please note, our VWG Retail and Company Cars Offers are only available to eligible vehicles purchased before the 30 September 2025.

For more information, see the full terms and conditions here.”

It sounds like the key thing here is your eligibility for the offer to determine if you’ll receive the 7p per kWh. I hope that clears things up a bit! Let us know if you have any other questions!

Appreciated. The only issue is since the change appears my car is not charging.

Looks like I'm being charged 14p . The whole thing is confusing..I've got an email saying I'm entitled to 7p now this. Can't be bothered, so badly organised and rolled out...I'm leaving.

Morning @cyrustom,

You're right about the charging rate. It'll take about two weeks to finalise the deal with Skoda. Once everything is confirmed, we'll make sure to refund you if you've paid more than necessary during the setup. Once that's done then you'll have access to the promotional rates.

Nope, I don't think I will. Was one the phone for literally 2hrs 50 yesterday. The poor staff member after being unable to give me an answer was trying to get through to the ops team which took up at least an 1hr 15 of the wait time...we finally got through and I tried to explain situation and information I've been getting on here and direct from OVO only to be told by the call agent I wouldn't qualify for the 7p Instead he's gone down the complaint route, and that he said it's very unlikely I would get the 7p. He did ask what compensation I felt I needed and said he was waiving the cancellation fee if I move, which I reminded him that was a part of the terms and conditions and not an altruistic moment for OVO. I've advised I would reach out to the ombudsman as I feel if I took information purely on that email received and never checked my account I'd be out of pocket. I don't know what and who to believe now.

Hi, can I ask. Who is it you speak to when they relay that this information. I have just received this:

Again, just embarrassing service. 25 quid after I lost 2 half days on the phone and stress involved.

@cyrustom I’m really sorry to see what’s happened here, and apologies for the fact you’ve not been offered a resolution that suits you.

If you’re not happy with the proposed resolution then I’d advise that you reply to the email saying you’re not happy, and see what they come back with.
