I’m a current OVO energy customer. I currently have 2 EV’s, a PHEV which is on the beta list of compatible cars and a full EV which is not listed at all (Omoda E5). I have an Ohme ePod home charger which apparently used to be compatible with Charge Anytime however since yesterday apparently new Charge Anytime customers are not able to onboard with this charger.
I really don’t want to have to move to another energy supplier and would prefer to use OVO Charge Anytime - however the compatibility checker is suggesting only my beta PHEV is compatible but not my EV.
So, my question is, will the Ohme still work with this tariff if I onboard with my compatible PHEV but then use it to also charge my incompatible EV? If not, is my EV actually compatible but just not on the list as it’s a fairly new brand/model?
Any advice would be appreciated.

From 15 July Ohme chargers will no longer be compatible with Charge Anytime. We’ve recently updated the technology behind Charge Anytime. This is so we can keep making improvements and create new products that reward customers for driving EVs.
It's not been possible to integrate Ohme with this new technology. If you have an Ohme charger you’ll still be able to sign up to Charge Anytime by connecting with an eligible vehicle. We’re constantly looking to open up the eligibility to more EV models so if you don’t see your EV here, keep an eye on our page.
You can see all eligibility details in our Charge Anytime page here. Check the topic below for more information:
In this case, you’ll only be able to onboard with the PHEV that’s compatible right now - so only that will get the Charge Anytime rates I’m afraid.
You can’t onboard the Charger if it’s an Ohme one anymore.
The official advice we’ve had from the team is below
“From Thursday 22 May customers signing up to Charge Anytime will no longer be able to onboard with their Ohme charger. This doesn’t affect customers currently onboarded with Ohme and Charge anytime. If you have an Ohme charger and a compatible EV, you’ll be able to sign up to Charge Anytime via your vehicle instead.
To sign up to Charge Anytime you must be an OVO customer and have an eligible car or charger. We’re constantly looking to open up the eligibility to more EV models and chargers - so if you don’t see your tech here, keep an eye on our page.
If you have any questions about your current setup then get in touch with the Charge Anytime team on either 0330 175 9678 (option 2 - existing customers) or chargeanytime@ovo.com.

This doesn’t really tell me anything….. this says I can onboard with my PHEV and Ohme charger, but doesn’t tell me if the Ohme charger will still ‘work’ with this tarriff when used to charge my EV? Even though clearly it does still work as existing customers are continuing to use it?
