bit of a late one and now we’ve all had a complaint about the initial teething issues mostly seems pretty solid now.

Is there a way to ask for features or submit feedback?

Primarily I’d love the option to be able to pull from the wall for pre conditioning before leaving without having to boost, would it be possible to implement say a 15-30 minute grace window before the end time that allows the charger to pull power if the charge has already finished? I’ve noticed friends on octopus who have the charger controller by octopus seemingly are allowed to pull power from the wall to pre condition the vehicle

Mostly my car has finished before the departure time as lets be honest its not on 0% every night, also curious if you pair the car as opposed to the charger does it let you do this? We have 2 vehicles so not really a good idea for us but am curious if its different if its per car or per charger.

Hi @stead ,

Sure thing! If you stop by the Ideas section, you can add it there to have it tracked and we’ll let the right team know.

Thanks for the suggestion!

As a thought why not put a few more percent in the battery at the discount rate to allow for the energy it takes to precondition?

Also, preconditioning doesn't use any more energy than running the car from cold because a cold car spends the first few miles using extra energy to warm the cabin up. The only difference of preconditioning is that the cabin is warm when you get in it and the windows are defrosted.

This is my fifth winter running an EV so I know the energy used is very nearly the same so long as you time the preconditioning to finish just before you set off.

Peter
