Charge Anytime + Indra Smart Pro Charger + Tesla - how do I connect Anytime with my smart charger after I chose the direct to vehicle option in error?

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hi,

I’ve had the Indra Smart Pro Charger hooked up to my Tesla for more than a week now and I’m on the Charge Anytime tariff.

It’s been working well but I think I’ve made a mistake because I’ve installed the Charge Anytime App and configured it to talk to the Tesla.

Reading around this forum apparently that isn’t necessary because OVO will control the Indra Smart charger directly without the need of the Charge Anytime App.

  1. Could someone please tell me how to roll back from this and remove my credentials etc from the Charge Anytime App?  Is the “Delete Account” option what I need to do?
  2. Do I then set the charging schedule in the Indra App and that’s all?

Thanks for your help!

Yep I agree, @domino138 - our Smart Home team can make sure you’re taken off the ‘direct to vehicle’ option so you can reconnect via your Indra smart charger. You can then use the Kaluza/Indra app to control your ready by time and battery charge %

Thanks guys - I emailed them this morning.  I did end up deleting the Charge Anytime account.

This is what I put in the email:

Last night I clicked the “Delete Account” option in the Charge Anytime app and removed it from my iPhone.  Is there anything else I need to do?

On the Indra website I can see the following:

In history:

And in schedule:

and in the OVO EV dashboard:

Is everything looking OK on your end?

I am curious about something though…  if neither OVO or Indra have access to my car to see how full the battery is, then how will they know how long it's going to take to charge it up?  Perhaps they just assume that the battery is dead every night and try to start early enough to give it a full charge.

Your pics don’t show on the forum @domino138 - can you still edit your post ?

I know someone who should know this. @ArundaleP how do smart charges know the charge level of an EV?

Hi again - I’ve not heard back from the email I sent.  Will give it another couple of days before chasing.

I’ve just got home and plugged in my car and it’s started charging immediately - it’s only 6pm on a Thursday.  Charging schedule is set according to the screenshot above.

Perhaps this issue is still ongoing:

Just to update that OVO have responded and said that nothing more needs to be done.  All is working as it should once I deleted my account in the Charge Anytime app.

I have just downloaded the Charge Anytime app and started the setup process. I logon to OVO, then Tesla all good. During the Authentication process with Tesla, when I add the 6 digit code, it constantly fails. Any ideas why this is failing?

Hi @markemarke , not sure if this similar topic helps

and here, a suggestion is for control via the Charge Anytime app

Thanks @BPLightlog. I think the issue is different as it is the primary setup of the app. The app seems to need access to the Tesla account (Which is fine) but times out/ does not connect with the Tesla servers
