Help Kaluza & Charge Anytime be even greener- to allow minimum charge to be specified

At present charge anytime attempts to charge to the limit set on the car. For me this frequently results in a fully charged car long before I need to disconnect, which is of no use to OVO or the grid, and I probably didn’t need a full charge anyway.

Could consideration be given to allow the minimum charge needed to be specified or perhaps option buttons(low, medium, high) for the priority the user has attached to needing a fully charged car. This would leave room for “supporting the grid” instead of just draining my 12volt battery while the car is fully charged and idle.

Hi @Taj ,

I don’t know what car you have but you can set the % max charge in Charge Anytime App if you need to.
Personally I leave this at 100% as I use my Tesla app to set the max charge (usually 80%).
This setup saves adjusting anything in the Charge Anytime App and it I just plug the car in and it’s ready for 6:30am in the morning. It’s only if I need to charge during the day that I then need to change the schedule in the Anytime app otherwise I don’t need to access it.

I assume you also have an App for your car?
 Hope this helps

Hello @RobG-Reading, that’s interesting. I have to use the Kaluza web app and there’s nothing similar in that. I was told that because I have an Indra charger I can’t use the phone app.
The option isn't much use to you as you obviously use the car daily, but I’m retired so have more flexibility in my charging. I hope the charge anytime app will be updated so that anyone can use it, the web app is a pain!

Perhaps I should update the “idea”. Please update the charge anytime app so that we can all use it.

Please post this as a separate idea. It helps us keep track of them independently! :)

Thanks @Blastoise186 I’ll do that. I can’t see any way to edit the original, can it be marked as completed or be deleted.

I think they’re both valid so feel free to keep both. :)

Hey @Taj

I really like this idea!

I’ve opened this u0p for our community members to vote on so we can gauge interest & I’ll also share this with the Charge Anytime team.

Keep the great ideas coming! 😄
