A chart with the different rates that people will pay from October 1st. Differentiated by Direct Debit and On Demand.

Hello,

It's OVO for Dummies requirement again here.

M.E. and brain fog literally "doing my head in" just now.

Would it not make sense to have a chart or table with the differing rates and charges, based on how one pays, after October 1st?

I couldn't make head nor tail of what was provided in the Chat before as it was just one long paragraph with, I think, one energy source omitted.

Is something simple and easy to understand a good idea, especially for those challenged by information-processing according to how it's presented?

Thanks!

Hey @Technophobe,

This is a really interesting suggestion!

I wasn’t aware of this until some of our other community members mentioned that some other companies have done this.

I guess the difficulty is that prices change according to region?

With the energy price guarantee, some fixed customers may also benefit from switching to a variable tariff, if their prices are more expensive than the cap. This is judged on an individual basis so they wouldn’t be able to be included.

Sorry that you were given some confusing figures in the online chat. You should also be sent an email or letter with your new prices confirmed if you are affected by the new prices.

If you look at this from EDF (both pages) you can see how many non fixed tariffs and prices there are.  And you want the before and after - so its twice as complicated.

government_energy_price_guarantee_prices._standard_variable_deemed_and_welcome._credit_meters.pdf (edfenergy.com)

Or you could just compare your bill pre 1 October with one post 1 October.  Hint, for the average user the rates post 1 October willbe up circa 25%

Hey all,

Updated idea statusNewCan't be done yet

Idea merged into:

All the votes from this idea have been transferred.

This is a great idea- but very similar to one we already have so I've merged them.

If you like this idea you can still vote on the linked idea just above ‘self-service ability to see all current tariffs without having to phone up’.

Keep the great ideas rolling!
