We recommend opening your OVO online account in Google Chrome, and following these steps: (If this doesn’t work the first time please try this using a new ‘Incognito’ window)
Go to the Offers and Upgrades section.
Click on the Charge Anytime banner.
Select the compatible charger that you have (Ohme or Indra).
It’ll ask you for the username and password to log in to your charger manufacturers’ app.
This will link your charger to your OVO account and you’ll get a new heading in your OVO account called ‘Your EV’.
You’ll still need to schedule the charging in your charger manufacturers' app. And after you’ve charged, the savings will show in the Your EV section of your online account.
NOTE - If you ‘Boost’ or ‘Max Charge’ on the charger to charge immediately, this will bypass Charge Anytime and charge the car at your normal unit rate. See this topic for more details:
To link your Indra charger to your OVO account you’ll need your Indra Web Portal Username and Password
Indra has more than one platform to manage their chargers, and their own app doesn’t support Charge Anytime yet. They’ll need to move your charger over to the platform that does support Charge Anytime.
If you have an Indra charger and you don’t have a username and password you’ll need to contact Indra directly and they can set this up for you.
You can reach out to Indra via 01684 770 631 or by emailing support@indra.co.uk.
I love to hear that you are taking advantage of Charge Anytime and the Power Move challenge side by side! It’s nice to see when services can link together to benefit you! I would encourage anyone reading to look at @wkeithg’s suggestion above!
Charging my car makes hitting the power move % much easier - we dont need to do anything else to get a rebate.
Hi @markp1102,
I’m happy to hear that you added it. Thank you for the update! Let us know how things go with your charging and your thoughts! We have a whole community of EV users, so take a look around, as there are so many good resources here
Hi there
I am completely new to this EV business, and am trying to link my Ohme home charger to my Ovo account. The Ovo account does have my husband’s email address as contact. Can I set up the Ohme app with my email and still link the two or do I have to use my husband’s email.
The first time I charged, it showed my charging details. Today, despite the car being plugged in, and, according to My Skoda app, charging, the Ohme app says the charger has not been active for 5 days+.
I would appreciate any tips what needs to doing to charge effectively and as efficiently as possible.
Thanks,
Meike
Hi @Meike ,
That should be fine - as long as both of you are OK with it then it’s perfectly OK with Ohme and OVO too. The only rule there is that both of you would need to be willing to consent to such access, which it sounds like you are. :)
Hi @Meike,
It looks like one of our volunteers @Blastoise186 is on hand to help out!
I just wanted to add link I think could be useful for you on Ohme’s OVO Charge Anytime guide. They also have contact instructions at the bottom if you run into any issues.
I also added a badge to show others you’re a member of our EV community!
Let us know how you get on.
I have just had the Indra charger installed. The installer new nothing about the web app. I contacted Indra and they set up the Kaluza account, but I was still unable to log into web app. They have now told me I must only use the Kaluza web page. Has anyone had this issue and will it cause problems when I register for Charge anytime?
Taj: did you make sure you used the same username and password as for your Ovo Energy login? Only with these data will Kaluza link to Ovo, AIUI. I had the same issue, and had to change my login password for the web-app/Kaluza. After which it worked fine. Keith Drury
this answer is a golden nugget! Thank you.
My passwords for Kaluz and OVO were different, and it made logging in to Kaluza impossible. Why the #### this isn’t made clear in the set up process is beyond me. Maybe now that I have deleted the Anytime Charge app account, and used the same passwords for OVO and Kaluza, I will be able to charge my car at the right price, to the level i want, when I want….
Hello,
I am seeing conflicting advice and information. OVO state on a thread on here that to qualify for credit, you need to enable a scheduled charge.
However, I have multiple people telling me they do not use a schedule at all, they simply plug in and tell the Ohme app they want 80% as quickly as possible and STILL receive the credit. This is because it’s classed as a “smart charge” because they’re using the Ohme app rather than “boost or max” button on the charger unit.
Is this correct - or do I need to set a schedule Ie: plug in at 18:00, tell it I want to add 65% by 06:30 the next morning.
I don’t want to be doing anything wrong when my car arrives next week and want to be getting the credit.
please can anyone clarify?
One of these mentions smart charge (which I’ve been told you can do without a schedule) and the other says only scheduled charges will receive credit.
Howdy @Pilkington98 !
Sure thing, I can help with that.
I strongly recommend you set up Schedules to guarantee that Charge Anytime kicks in and applies the 7p/kWh rate. Any charging that is NOT scheduled runs the risk of being charged at full rate.
“In order to bring you the 7p a kWh rate, the Charge Anytime app will only let your car charge during the cheapest and greenest times. This often means that your charging will start sometime after you plug in. You’ll always receive a notification informing you of the scheduled start time. If your plans change, and you need your vehicle to start charging immediately, you can press the Charge Now button in the app. But you'll be charged your standard home electricity rate for this function.”
We also have a dedicated Charge Anytime team you can speak with on 0330 175 9678 (Option 1 new customers/option 2 existing customers) or chargeanytime@ovo.com.
Let us know if you have any more questions. You must be excited to get your new EV and start your journey!
I have just had an Indra charger fitted but when I tried to change to anytime, it asked me to use my logon details to log on to Kaluza. The fitter said Indra haven't used Kaluza in over a year and use Dynamo platform so my details don't match Kaluza ie I didn't need to create a password with Indra, just verified my email so I don't have a password that links to Kaluza.Has anyone else had this issue?
Hey @FinonaP ,
Sounds like you need to get this fixed by the Charge Anytime team as I think you’re on the wrong platform right now.
Try 0330 175 9678 Option 2 during the week and they can investigate.
@FinonaP , I wonder if the installer got confused regarding the Indra interfaces. To use charge anytime, you need to use the Indra web interface (which does use Kaluza as far as I am aware). Indra do also have an app but you can’t use that with charge anytime at present. It's worth checking with the team as has been mentioned. They do have email also chargeanytime@ovoenergy.com
All sorted - had to phone Indra who set me up with their web based app rather than downloaded app. I now have a password and have successfully sorted Anytime. Cheers folks
Hey @FinonaP,
It looks like our volunteers have made a great start to answering this for you! I asked our Charge Anytime team if they have heard of the other platform and this is what they had to say:
“Indra have got more than one platform to control their chargers. There is the Indra/Kaluza web portal that uses a username and password to log in, and is compatible with Charge Anytime. Indra have since brought out their own standalone app that doesn't have a password and isn't compatible with Charge Anytime yet. Some other Indra installers have started setting up their chargers on Indras' own app. If this happens the customer would need to contact Indra (https://www.indra.co.uk/contact/) to get a username and password set up for the web portal. They'll need this password to complete the Charge Anytime set up. Indra can do this remotely. They should be familiar with the request and that it's needed for Charge Anytime, as they do this for us often.”
I hope this helps and if you have any further questions let us know
How do I add my new ohme home pro charger to OVO beyond account?
Hiya!
I think you’re talking about Charge Anytime @Aswakelin . If so, you can set this up via the Ohme app. Any trouble, let the Charge Anytime team know on 0330 175 9678 or contact Ohme via https://ohme-ev.com/help-centre/
Hi all, I’m due to have a Hypervolt Pro 3 (compatible charger) installed next week and I have a compatible vehicle (Tesla Model Y) and I wanted to double-check I’d understood correctly the steps I should take to join charge anytime.
The article above suggests I just need to log in my Ovo account, click on charge anytime and then enter my charger log-in credentials and it’s as simple as that. Is it really that straight-forward? How soon after doing so does my Ovo account accept this and how soon after can I start charging my vehicle?
Thanks in advance
Hi @sb123 ,
For Hypervolt chargers, you’ll need to use the Charge Anytime mobile app right now. :)
Grab it from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store! Once it’s set up, you can start using it immediately.

Thank you for the superfast reply.
Is there another article/tutorial I should follow in regards to how to use the charge anytime app please?
The app should guide you through. If you get stuck though, you can ask for advice here or call 0330 175 9678.
