I am all for freeing up the time for the Support Team to deal with more urgent and difficult issues.

It would be really good if there was a self service way of cancelling a fixed tariff via the app and website so customers don't have to bother the Support Team via phone etc. Particularly important as OVO are probably in for a very busy 12 months supporting customers.

We like this idea, we like self serving customers. It’s now open for votes and with our online account product team to review :)

@Tim_OVO

At the same time it would be worth doing something to automate the process of not charging an exit fee if a fixed tariff is cancelled in 14 days, whatever method is used to cancel.

There a quite a few cases of this not happening across all the OVO social media channels.

Again this would free up the Support Team for more difficult issues over the next 12 months

I agree this would be helpful - I clicked on a fixed rate by mistake on my phone when I was scrolling through the fixed rate options. As a related suggestion - it would be a good idea to have to confirm the fixed rate selection rather than do it on one click - I imagine others have done the same as me and clicked by accident when scrolling.  It would save customers  and OVO staff time in correcting things.
