I have a second user Smart Pro installed which Indra will not support, can I still use Charge Anytime?

I have a 2nd user Smart Pro installed which Indra will not support so I can’t have contact with them or the Indra app (Nice people).

My question is will I be able to access charge anytime and charge at the cheaper rate and at 7kw. The charger is only charging at 3kw at this moment. Thanks for any advice in advance.

I’ve just had a chat with a contact of mine at Indra.

You are ineligible for Smart Charging features because you purchased the unit second-hand. Indra is willing to provide support for these in order to get them hooked up and working i.e. so that you can charge an EV with them and get software updates, but that’s about it.

As such, you can’t use it for Smart Charging with ANY supplier - not just OVO Charge Anytime - and you’re completely locked out.

To use the Smart Charging features, you must purchase the unit new either from Indra directly, or from an approved partner/retailer they work with.

Hi @Freemason401 ,

This might not be possible as IIRC Charge Anytime only supports one Charger at a time. Feel free to ask the team though - chargeanytime@ovo.com or 0330 175 9678.

Hi there it’s not a second charger it’s a second hand charger and Indra won’t support it.

Well, that’s a snag we’ve not seen before…

However, if Indra won’t support the unit, then unfortunately you can’t get Charge Anytime with that unit.

You should ideally purchase new in order to be eligible for warranty and support for this stuff, just a general rule.
