New smart meters but no top up card or IHD

Got smart meters installed but the engineer didn't put in a IHD. They also took our old electric key and gas card, but we haven't got a new smart top up card, so can't create an account on the top up app.

 

When can I expect the IHD or the Smart top up card to arrive? Is there a way to set up a top up account without a smart top up card?

Howdy @LHen ,

I’m afraid I can’t generate this myself as a Forum Volunteer, but you’ll just need a PAN from OVO to use the app. Get in touch with PAYG Support tomorrow via https://ovoenergy.com/help or 0330 175 9669 and they can grab one for you. That code will work both in the app, online and generates a barcode in the app that you can use in-store.

They can also order an IHD for you.

 

Here’s how to request a new card or key

 

If you’ve lost your top up key or card, you’ll need to contact us to get a new one. They’ll either recommend a shop near you to collect a replacement from, or they’ll arrange for one to be posted out to you. This can take between 3-5 days to arrive via post.
