Economy 10 / Dimplex Quantum Storage Heaters

I had a new smart meter installed today, having previously had 2 meters for cheap rate and normal rate. My question is will my Dimplex Quantum storage heaters charge automatically during my economy 10 cheap rate periods or do they require to be programmed to charge during my cheap rate periods or do they require need to be programmed ?

Hi ​@kerr , if the wiring to your storage heater has been connected to the meter in the correct way, they will be energised at the off peak times (as long as they are switched on locally.

A 5 terminal smart meter has the extra feed to manage the off peak switching.

It is best to keep a check to make sure.
