Extensively Refurbished Property under construction with a new 3 Phase Connection and Installing a Viessmann Heat Pump

After carrying out a complete overhaul of an existing property, we have had a new 3 Phase connection made to the property. We were made aware by Viessmann who will be supplying the heat pump that a special agreement is in place between the two companies to supply energy at a reduced rate (15p kWh).

Therefore I am keen to set up a new account with OVO and obtain a new 3 Phase meter from them ASAP, however the general contact centre (after over 3 hours on the phone across multiple calls) seems to be unaware of this arrangement and unable to assist me.

Does anyone have a contact at OVO that might be best suited to discuss this and arrange for the meter, as I need to get something sorted ASAP.

Hey @BT34

I’ve spoken with our infrastructure team, and we 100% do three-phase meters. The only considerations would be based on where the installation is located and having the correctly qualified engineers on hand to carry out the work!

I’m sorry you got the wrong information. It sounds like a gap in knowledge that we need to work on correcting. I’m going to send you a private message so I can help resolve this for you.

Thank you all, it appears from speaking to OVO that they do not deal with 3 Phase meters in any case, which means that they won’t be able to provide the service at all.

Thanks again for the support though!

Hey @BT34

I’ll ask around for you to get a better answer regarding the three phase meter. I know it’s been talked about on the Forum before which i’ll leave a link below and try to find out what the situation is.
