I’m considering getting a new Renault 5 EV when its released in the new year and I’m trying to find out if it will be added to charge anytime.  We already have a Tesla M3LR but we have a dumb home charger (installed 3 years ago) so the Tesla is connected directly to charge anytime rather than via a supported smart charger.  I don’t really want to shell out several hundred £ to get a new smart charger so I’’m hoping the new 5 will be supported directly there are already quite a few Renault’s on the supported list.

Hey @fancyabrew

Ah that must be frustrating! If I hear anything from our end i’ll make sure to keep you in mind. Fingers crossed that it all works out for you as nothing is worse than when timings get in the way 😩

Hiya!

I’ve checked with the Charge Anytime team for this one.

They can’t confirm timescales of exactly when support will be added. You may want to factor this into your decision making.

Hey @fancyabrew,

Exciting times for you, have you already preordered your Renault 5?

As @Blastoise186 has said we don’t currently have timescales for when support will be added, but we’re always adding to the list.

No a few things are stopping me, one is if it’ll be on Charge anytime!  The other is if it will be available through my works salary sacrifice scheme (Tusker) and they said yes it will be although I could just buy it outright.  The other annoyance is, typically, my current car, a smart fourtwo is due a service and MOT in March, I do about 250 miles a week and its just done 80k, cost me quite a bit last year to get through the MOT so I was hoping to get rid before March but I think the timings will be wrong grrrrrrrrrrrrr! :-(

I know it's just typical!
