You make a good point.

Shift and Save was a trial, as was Power Move initially. Power Move then became available to all OVO customers who meet the eligibility criteria. 

Initially Power Move was opt in, it is now auto-enrolled. Power Move Plus for the time being is opt in, and we’ll invite eligible customers.

These schemes are new to the industry and OVO, and are being adapted and improved. It may be that in the future there is just one consolidated, auto-enrolled grid balancing scheme!

The Power Move scheme is specific to ovo so ovo are free to decide on the rules for the scheme.

The Power Move Plus scheme is OVOs version of an industry wide scheme, so OVO have to abide by the scheme rules. https://www.nationalgrideso.com/industry-information/balancing-services/demand-flexibility-service-dfs

You don't have to sign up to Power Move  Plus to take part in the Demand Flexibility Service. There are more generous ways if money is important. OVO keep 20% of what you earn. Uswitch for example pass on 100%

I am no longer  getting emails about my power move plus events. Is it still operating ?

the last email I had was for an event of Friday 15th Dec - I’ve not had an email since then and I’ve assumed that there hasn't been an event since 15th ..

Thursday 14th was the last one I believe I had and they emailed yesterday to say I’d missed my targets…again!

yeah these targets are not easy for many of us - mine is 0.1! I have managed to meet it most times (I even got 21 p once!) but its just through sheer determination to rise to the challenge of such a ludicrous target! 

The National Grid ESO have said there may be another test event today. So another short notice event.

And still the most power rich per capita nation in the modern world shafts its population over and over and we just smile and say thanks . Anyone ask what Rishi pays per kWh???????

When was the last email you received @Vickiplum? Are you opted into email communications and marketing on your Online Account? 

I'm halfway through December to get my other £15 power move the last email I got was 3 days ago

5 till 6 for a test event tonight 

£3 per kWh

Last Power Move Plus event was Friday 15th, just waiting for the result to see if i beat 0.1kwh. 

Just had the half way email for Power Move and am on target.

If anyine hasnt noticed details of the Winter challenge for 1 Jan - 31 Mar are on there. Now got tiers

No notification yet, at 12:40. OVO are either not taking part, or they’re cutting it exceeding fine.

Just got my power move plus invite from OVO

I've just had my notification,  5 - 6pm

Although the £15 target is lower at 11.5% im pretty much on the borderline at end of month, so only a little tweak required to still get it.
