I'm on Simpler Energy Plan- What date will it end

I've been offered 4 new Energy plans 2 fixed Rate ones and  2 Variable ones. If I don't choose one I will be automatically rolled into one of the variable plans but there is no mention of when this is going to take happen and how long I have left on my current plan.

The one you are on doesn't ever end. That is why there is no end date on the plan page.

The rates update every 3 months when Ofgem issue new maximum rates for the default tariff.

1st Jan

1st Apr

1st July

1st Oct

The rates you wil see on the renewal page for this tariff will be the same as you are currently paying.

The wording isn't particularly helpful. It is really targeted at customers coming off fixed rate plans.

Just be careful as the rates on the plan page are ex VAT, the rates on the renewal page are inc VAT.

You should be able to see your contract date on your plan page

@BPLightlog  it doesn't say when it ends as I'm already on a variable plan that's why I asked if anyone know when the old plans ended.

Ah, ok @Lucky2 . As far as I’m aware, the standard variable plan follows the price cap charges with no exit fee and so although there are updates when Ofgem change the pricing, there is no end date as such

@BPLightlog I'm not sure if that true as you can see from this.

That looks as if it’s the next ‘rolling’ plan which is a default unless you choose otherwise

Yes @BPLightlog  I would say so. I do have another variable to choose from  and 2 fixed plans which I'm definitely not going to sign up to , I'm just wondering when the one I'm on ends and these ones start as there is not indication.

Yes, if you do nothing, your rates will stay the same until 1st July.

OVO could decide to reduce the rates on the variable plan before then. The Ofgem cap and the government Energy Price Guarantee is a cap not a floor. I doubt this will happen.
