Can OVO tell us what email address the notifications will come from so we can flag them as urgent and see them promptly? A text would be better!
Mine came from no-reply@ecomms.ovoenergy.com.
Are you saying there was an event yesterday? If so i didnt see anything? I dont know if its daily or what frequency we should see these event invites? Anyone done them before?

Hey
Have you given email marketing consent?
We’ll invite eligible customers this winter to sign up to Power Move Plus - keep an eye on your emails.
To be eligible, you’ll need to have a smart meter, be a pay monthly or on demand customer and, opt in to half hourly meter reads and email marketing consent. You can update your meter read or marketing preference via your online account. Terms apply to Power Move Plus- see here for details. Please note that our Power Move Plus events are available to limited numbers of customers at the moment and are available on a first come, first served basis but we’re working to open the events up to more customers.

It might be worth taking a look in your emails for anything from the email address Simon got his.
Yes i signed up on the ovo invite and it said i had been accepted
Set up a rule for any email containing “Power Move Plus” in either the subject or main body of the email. It will probably catch a few more emails than you want, but at least you won’t be missing any.
Hi
I signed up following an ovo email, I definitely got the accepted email, I am signed up for email & text marketing but certainly haven't been invited to a Power Move Plus event - any suggestions as to what else I need to do to get included?

Sounds like you’re all set up to me. Wait for the first event invite - you’ll know when you see it! :)
We havent had one yet.
From November 2023 to the end of December 2023 the ESO there will be six tests and from January 2024 to the end of March 2024 the ESO a possible further six tests all lasting for one hour each.
Live events are likely to last for a longer period if they are needed and could run up to four hours each. These are most likely to be held late afternoon/ early evening on weekdays when demand for electricity is highest.
Tests and live events are most likely to take place across weekday evening peaks.
Thanks for the reassurance that I have done all I need to
It does make me wonder though if I will get invited at any point. I see it says 1st come 1st served which makes me now question if there is a set number of invites & so if the 1st people invited all say yes , I may never get an invite :(
The ESO National Grid does need to do a LOT of testing… There’ll be plenty of chances.
Thanks for the info
(I’d see in another post someone was recommending signing up through a Uswitch app - not sure if being accepted by ovo means I cant do that now but I will be looking into it!
On re-reading the invite to sign up
"Power Move Plus begins on 1 November, so click the button below now to reserve your place. If you secure a spot we’ll let you know and send you more information".
I took it that there were limited places to sign up and that once you were confirmed signed up you would get the event invites when they come out.
I had the confirmation "You're in!" Email which gave further info, so just waiting for whenever a test or live event happens where you will get an email with your personal target, making sure you opt in on the email at least half an hr before the event starts to let ovo know you are taking part.
So watch and wait........
Just found it. You can only be registered for one scheme. Altho 100% return, they dont pay out until end of the scheme and then only when you send them your bank details wirhin a month.
Think i will just stick where i am for this scheme period, at least i know who im dealing with, plus i could easily be talking about a minimum amount of pence with being a low user. Will use it as an experiment!
Thanks again

I too am a very low user (1 bed flat, electric heating, heating and water coming on only on cheap rates), I too think i’ll be minimal pennies if anything but nothing to lose really in the long run, so will give it a try
