What's the best way to sort a large refund? Can I only get £500 at a time?

I'm over £900 in credit. My ovo app is saying i can apply for a £500 refund. When i try to di this it informs m6to phone a number. I have tried this and have had trouble getting through. I have a smart meter my contract ends the end of the month, could this be a reason for not refunding me. Will i automatically get any refund paid at the end of the contract. Thank you

I would make sure we are in communication with your smart meters as the account needs to have been charged up to date to actual reads within past 28 days. If you have a tradiional meter you’ll need to submit an up to date reading. 

 

 

If you’d like more refunded you can contact our Support Team.

If you’re moving home
 

If there’s credit left in your account once you’ve paid your final bill, we’ll automatically refund it to you. It’ll take a maximum of 14 working days after your final statement.

Find out how to set up a new account with OVO at your new home.

 

If you’re switching to a different energy company
 

Once we have your final meter readings, we’ll send you a final statement. If you have credit in your account, we’ll automatically refund this to you. You don’t need to do anything.

The money will go into the bank account your Direct Debit comes from. You should get it within 10 working days of your final statement.

I have contacted support team on the web and they give me aohone number to ring. I am having trouble getting through.
