Thank you everyone for letting us know that you’re once again affected by your smart meter readings not populating your online account on the price cap change day. I’ll flag this now and will be back with any details I can.
If helpful my online account is still showing full usage data for electricity & gas over the relevant time period, with no break in service data.
So Ovo appears to be collecting & uploading usage data fine, (used for information only)
Tho the info needed for collating actual & accurate billing (smart meter readings) is again unavailable.

In summary, this will not be happening in the next price cap change on October 1st.
Essentially OVO’s billing system doesn't currently recognise the reading as it comes in via a different route (because we suspended scheduled readings on the day of price cap changes for reasons discussed above), this is something we're working to fix. However, next time around we should have some measures in place which will mean we won't have to suspend scheduled readings, so even if it’s not fixed, those readings will come in via the normal route on the 1st of October.

prioritising informational data at the expense of actual billing data never sat right with me,
especially when 5 figure sums came in to play.
Ovo fell short again on this recent change to the price cap, but I welcome the news that in October, we should see a change for the better
