Usage on app relating to Standing Charge and VAT, can we see this?

On the next revision of the app, please could you consider adding the standing charge and VAT to the weekly, monthly and yearly total (Electricity and Gas) usage figures.

I can see the benefit of excluding these additions on the daily figures in order to be better informed on 'actual' usage rate charges, but in respect of budgeting costs and the pound in your pocket, the actual amount one has to pay would in my view be far more useful for the extended time periods.

Alternatively, you could consider having a drop down option to choose including or excluding the additional charges mentioned above.

I’ve a feeling this would be very complicated to incorporate into the app. It’s easy enough to work out the cost of today’s usage including standing charges and VAT (but it will only ever be an estimate for gas because of variations in the CV), but for anything before today, there’s the problem of changing tariffs (and the nightmare of GMT/BST).  

I’d put this idea into the ‘nice to have’ category.

Hugo App. Am not saying this is the best way of doing it, just an example Toggle switched for the totals rather than the graph

I'm using the MyOvo app and the total £ figures (excluding the Standing Charge and VAT) are already correctly shown wiithin the app.

Of course, clearly, one can never get the 'Today's' cost as you'd need to wait till well after mid-night in any case, due to the gas billing delay/BTU rate. But when you then  go to 'yesterday's' date and previous days, the correct amounts are shown taking into account  BTU rate etc.

GMT/BST, change of plan, etc have already been taken into account and in fact in my case have shown the correct amounts even when I changed mid-month, so that none of these should be an issue.

So in short, the app could inhibit the Standing Charge and VAT toggle for 'Today's' cost and leave the Standing Charge and VAT included-toggle cost, for all the previous days, weeks, months, and year.

I have to say it all looks a bit hopeful when I check towards the end of the month on the app, and then find when the real paper bill arrives reality kicks in with Standing Charge and VAT.

I'd very much like to see an option which includes VAT and standing charge for a true picture of use/spend.
