Your cheaper charging rate will stay the same.

We’re sorry, there was a mistake in the terms and conditions (T&Cs) we recently sent to some of our Charge Anytime customers. It said your Charge Anytime rate was 10p per kWh, but your actual rate is 7p per kWh.

To confirm, you’ll continue to pay 7p per kWh for smart charging with Charge Anytime.

You don’t need to do anything and your access to Charge Anytime will continue as normal. Anyone that received the wrong rate in their terms will be sent a new version of their terms soon.

Thanks,

The OVO Team

I’m a long time user of Charge Anytime and recently received an email notifying of changes to the Charge Anytime Ts&Cs due 15-Oct-2024. Buried in the new Ts&Cs attached to the email is a statement that the Charge Anytime rate is “currently 10p a kWh, inclusive of VAT”. However, it has been 7p/kWh for some time now, so is this actually a price increase or just an error that needs to be corrected?

Hi @kurand ,

Apologies for this - you received the wrong version with a mistake in it. The actual rate remains the same as before at 7p/kWh but someone made a typo in the updated terms that you received. You’ll receive a corrected version in the next few days.

For more details, please check out the thread below.

Thanks for understanding!

I’ve tried reading through the new Ts&Cs to see what I have to do. Probably nothing and just keep going and hoping I continue to receive the same rebates. But it would be immensely helpful if OVO were to give a 1 page summary in large print explaining the differences and key features (just like with insurance policies). I still don’t know why they’ve had to make these changes.

Hi @adriangalilee,

I’m sorry to hear this.

This article might be helpful:

I’ve shared this with the team and will be back as soon as I get a response from them.

Hi @adriangalilee,

The team have responded saying:

“As per the email we sent to customers, These changes won’t affect the way Charge Anytime works. Instead, they’ll include more information on how we optimise your vehicle's charging to help balance supply and demand across the grid, and how we use your charging data. To be more specific the update on the new T&Cs is section 4, Flexibility Services which covers T&Cs relating to the above message.”

Hope this helps.
