Will the Charge app be having a route planner in future?

I’m trying to plan a route which will involve having to charge but Google Maps isn’t up to date with chargers and show many that I can’t use (with my free credits on my plan) as they’re not compatible, like BP Pulse and Gridserve.

If you get the ZapMap app you can set a filter for selected charge points. I use it myself for AC charging but you can set it up as you want. For a route planner I use Maps from the ZapMap location that I've chosen.

Currently there is the option of a route planner if you were to sign up to Turbo Boost:

I go on one long journey a year and get my rare public charge for free as part of my plan.

So no thanks. 

Another question: why is a prepayment £30 charge taken? (I know it disappears after a few days.)

That doesn't happen with Electroverse and Ovo has the same card details on my account as Electroverse. 

Same reason petrol pumps siphon £100 at once - banks require it

But Electroverse doesn't!

That may change at some point as banks are starting to get strict about this - it’s also an anti-fraud/theft feature so Octopus really should be doing it already. If they don’t now, they’ll be forced to eventually.

The idea is to increase the chances of completing a transaction first time and ensure the customer actually has the funds to pay for what they use. The taxi company I use does the same thing with their app these days - whatever is left after the fare is paid gets returned to me by way of reducing the collected amount during settlement.
