Hi

I am using the ovo charge anytime app to charge my EV. However, the past few nights the app is starting the charge well before the schedule time.

Currently my car is around 60% and I have scheduled it to be fully charged for 7am tomorrow and the app is starting the charge at 8pm. This is unusual as it doesn't take that long to charge 40%. It usually schedules it around 11pm. Is there an issue with the app/schedule?

Morning @Sp88

A warm welcome to the OVO Forum and congrats - you’ve earned yourself an EV badge 👌

I can see @BPLightlog has left some great answers to your question here which should have shed some light on all this. We see some Charge Anytime users who come home from work and plug the car in straight away. The car will then commence charging when the Grid is at its cheapest and greenest, and these times may vary.

The Forum is a super helpful community and a great place to find the answers you need. If you haven’t seen them already, our Charge Anytime FAQ’s can be found here. As you’re new to the Forum, I just wanted to share some helpful previous Forum topics about Charge Anytime, so that you can view handy info and get used to navigating the Forum in general. With the latest level of low emissions overnight, it’s probably just trying to use the best available slots to charge - which is exactly how Charge Anytime is supposed to work

I haven't seen anything in regards to the emissions overnight so yeah possibly. I get it schedules it to use the best time, just found it bizarre it was starting so early. Which is unusual

There are differences based on location but here’s an example of lowest emission times
