Hi, my Hypervolt pro 3 charger was installed today and linked to Charge Anytime but unfortunately the Charge Anytime app only charges on ‘urgent charging’ mode despite having a schedule on the ‘Schedule’ tab. Can someone assist and let me know if they’ve had a similar issue? My car is a BMW fyi.

Thanks!

Hi @21636648 , I can’t quite tell from your post but presumably you are using the system to set when you want the car charged by and to what level .. that’s how CA works rather than setting a schedule as in charge at a certain time?

Yeah exactly. Set it to be ready by 7am and to 80% but as soon as I plug in, it starts charging straight away under ‘urgent charging’.

Infuriating!

The only other thing I’ve seen is when there’s a minimum battery level set, sometimes the system can immediately charge to get to that. See here

If nothing else, maybe get in touch with the team

Hey @21636648,

Sorry to hear this, it sounds very frustrating,

I’ll raise this to the team & report back.

Hey @21636648,

I’ve had an update from the team,

The App says urgent charge because the schedules aren't reaching the charger for some reason. We've had the software developers look into this for us and they confirm that the prompts are being sent successfully so it seems to be an issue on the Hypervolt end. They're currently investigating. We don't have a timeframe for a fix just yet. Hypervolt integration is still a public trial at the moment but we're working on improving it.

When we find out more we’ll pop back & update this topic.

Yeah I had the same response when I contacted Ovo, it’s a shame as it really isn’t fair to be honest. I only ordered the Hypervolt because Ovo was recommending it when I was on the charge anytime page so the fact it doesn’t work and there is no fix is infuriating. I’ve spent so much money getting this installed and I can’t even use Charge Anytime. Unfortunately it means I’ll most likely have to change energy supplier if it doesn’t get sorted in the next few days. It just feels like Ovo is totally misleading customers here.

You should probably stick around for longer than a few days - the team are working on it actively. It may take a bit longer than a few days, but chances are they’ll get it going again and might be able to backpay lost credits.

Hypervolt support is in beta though - so this can happen.

I have the same problem with my Hypervolt always jumping to urgent charge instantly so I’m paying my standard rate which in all honesty I just cannot afford

when will this be fixed as again I was told 7p and I’m paying more because of a fault

weighing it up probably save paying the exit fee and going octopus for guaranteed nightly 7p fixed charge than waiting paying full amount for this to be fixed if it’s going to take a long time to fix

very frustrating

Hi @Elh1993,

I’m really sorry to hear this.

We don't have a timeframe for a fix just yet. Hypervolt integration is still a public trial at the moment but we're working on improving it.

We’ll be back as soon as we have an update on this.

@Shads_OVO thank you for this but is there a way we can still get credit back of some sort and I am currently being charged my full tariff and this is unfair in my opinion as these chargers should pass the comparability test if it’s not working

If OVO can get the data later on, then yes that may be possible to do. We can’t say with 100% certainty, but OVO does have options available which can sometimes allow lost credits to be backpaid into your account later.

Hi

I have put my ready time into the app and it just say generating charge schedule but doesn’t actually create a schedule to charge

how do we fix this

I have had nothing but problems with this charge anytime I need to change tariff if this continues

What’s your set up @Elh1993 ? (EV + charger)

@BPLightlog  Peugeot e2008 ev charger Hypervolt 3pro

Sounds like one for the team chargeanytime@ovoenergy.com .. there have been a few with communication issues recently looking at other posts

Just one thing to check .. the link to CA on your account should be to the charger, not the car

This is very frustrating especially as it is now fully compatible and I am still having to pay full price as obi and Hypervolt are not scheduling my charging session

it just keeps saying provider has not scheduled any charging sessions so I have to keep urgent charging and it going to end up costing me a fortune

it is happening too often I will have to leave obi and it’s such a shame as I have used obi for years and have never had problems until now

Hi @Elh1993,

I’m sorry to hear this.

Have you managed to get in touch with the Charge Anytime team about this issue?
