I’ve had Charge Anytime for a couple of months with my Audi Q4, and it was working fine. Recently it’s not been working well and missing charges and therefore no credit with the Charge Anytime App. I decide I’d remove the car from the app and try adding it again to see if that would improve things. However…….now I can’t even add my car to the app. I just get a message saying “the vendor is currently experiencing issues on their side, please try again later”. I’ve had this for over 24 hours now.

The only reason I switched to OVO rather than Octopus, was for Charge Anytime. But, if I can’t add my car and get the good rate, what is the point!? Whilst I appreciate this may not be OVO/Kazula’s fault, they are still saying Charge Anytime can be used with an Audi Q4.

Anyone else having similar problems?

Hi @mdanhieux

I am just a customer like you

Sorry to hear about the issues.

If you haven't already, you are probably best off emailing the smart home team so they can look into whether they can see anything strange with your account or suggest what to do with your specific issue.

smarthome@ovoenergy.com

Email them from the email address registered with OVO.

Here is an example of a user with the Q4 and a podpoint charger in case it helps

It is probably worth searching the forum for posters with a similar setup as yours and tagging them to see if they reply.

Which charger are you using @mdanhieux ? Some have seen some recorded issues with Audi and podpoint in the past with similar initial issues.

Hi @mdanhieux

Audi Q4 Owner /Pod Point Charger and on OVO Charge Anytime since March 2023.

For the past three days I have had problems with the Audi Connect and CA apps connecting to each other - the car is “unplugged” when its plugged to the Pod Point at home,  and then when the OVO CA finally did connect showing that its regular overnight schedule was in place, it didn't charge at all.  Last night the CA app again wouldn't connect with the Audi app at all, so the car charged immediately it was paired to the Pod Point via Audi Connect, so no overnight savings at all.   Car is now fully charged, with CA app now connected and showing its regular overnight charging schedule, but no confidence it will charge?!?

Interestingly my neighbour is having the same issues with his Q4, Audi Connect and CA app again only for the last few days … we have both written tosmarthome@ovoenergy.com to check what has suddenly gone wrong as its been fine the past 8 months, with only one blip when Pod Point updated its app.  He doesnt have a Pod Point charger, so can only assume its an Audi/CA issue …

Anyone else having these problems?

Can't find that post on the forum but sounds like a very similar issue to mine.

Is Kaluza having problems with Audi EVs?

Hey @Soo P and @mdanhieux,
