Andersen Charge Anytime Trial

Who is Andersen?

Andersen is a premium home EV charging brand in the UK. Each charge point is made to order based on the customer’s choices. They pride themselves on making chargers that are stylish.

Disclaimer: We don’t sell or install Andersen chargers.

Our Charge Anytime trial

We want to make our EV add-on Charge Anytime, compatible with Andersen chargers. This free EV add-on lets you smart charge your EV at home for a lower charging rate of 7p per kWh(1), day or night, saving you up to £385 a year on EV charging(2)

We’re currently in a trial phase to test Andersen chargers with Charge Anytime, but we need more customers onboard to help us find any bugs or issues.

As this is a trial, it's important to let you know that Charge Anytime might not work fully with your charger. We might also need to stop or change the trial at any time – we’ll let you know if we’re going to do this.

If you have an Andersen charger and are already using Charge Anytime through a vehicle connection, you may still find the trial useful. The charger connection could be a better choice for you, rather than connecting via your vehicle.

What’s even better, both the Andersen A2 (2024) and A3 charger models are solar compatible, so you can make full use of your home charger set up by adding Charge Anytime.

Can I join?

The trial allows existing customers with an Andersen charger, to add Charge Anytime to their OVO energy plan. You’ll need either an Andersen A2 (2024) or an Andersen A3 charger.

To be eligible for Charge Anytime, you’ll need to:

  • Have a compatible electric vehicle or EV charger
  • Be an OVO customer, on any OVO energy plan
  • Have a compatible smart meter opted in to half hourly reads (we opt them in to the half hourly: it’s part of the t&cs)
  • Have iOS or Android phone

If you’re interested in joining the trial, the eligibility survey can be found here

By completing the form, you’re agreeing to sign up to the T&Cs of the trial. If you’re eligible we’ll email you to let you know what happens next.

Full terms and conditions apply.

(1) When you add Charge Anytime to your plan, your home energy rate will stay the same, but the energy consumed by your EV will be charged at an effective rate of 7p per kWh when smart charging (thanks to payment of your Charge Anytime charging credit). Individual costs will vary based on your vehicle efficiency,  driving style and weather conditions. Subject to eligibility and acceptance of our terms and conditions.

If you need your car in a hurry, you can override your smart charging schedule with the Charge Now function. You'll be charged at your standard home electricity rate when you're not smart charging.

(2) Actual sum is £385.83. When you add Charge Anytime to your plan, your home energy rate will stay the same, but the energy consumed by your EV will be charged at an effective rate of 7p per kWh when EV smart charging (thanks to payment of your Charge Anytime charging credit). The £385.83 saving is based on an average Charge Anytime customer using 2700kWh a year to charge their EV using the Charge Anytime add on. The Charge Anytime rate on 01/07/2024 is 7p per kWh for Charge Anytime charging compared to the OVO’s UK average SVT rate of 21.29p per kWh. Actual savings will vary depending on vehicle efficiency, driving style, EV charging usage and the cost per kWh of your standard home energy tariff.
