I closed an account on 1st Feb, gave the final meter reading, thought all was closed. 

I still have bills available on OVO and am now being chased for the £67 Energy support scheme which was added on 21st April. The account was closed so why was it applied? I don’t believe we’re due OVO anything. 

Can anyone explain it to me?

If you were with ovo on 1st Feb then you would have been entitled to the EBSS payment for  Feb which would normally have been paid a few days after your normal DD in Feb, perhaps even paid in early March normally if your DD goes out at the end of the month normally. 

I suspect the fact you left at the 1st month may possibly have something to do with this in terms of some tidying up exercise on accounts. Of course, impossible for anyone on the forum to know for certain.

You could also check all your bills since 1st Oct. 

Do you have the same number of £67/£66 being credited as you do debited from your bills over the winter.
