Hello,

I joined OVO at the end of August and sent my meter readings.

Since then I have had to send three more even though I have smart meters. They aren't being read by OVO.

Is this normal for new customers? If so, how long is it until OVO read them automatically?

I need a couple of things to be able to offer some advice:

  1. Please post photos of your meters
  2. Please do a lookup at https://homebrew.n3rgy.com and tell me if there’s any warnings or errors - or if something doesn’t look right
  3. Please run your meters through https://smartmetercheck.citizensadvice.org.uk/ and tell me whether they show up as Smart and if they do, who the listed Supplier is

This will help me figure out your options and what’s going on.

I know there's no problem with the meters. They have been working well with our previous supplier.

I just wondered how long it usually takes for OVO to start getting the readings themselves when someone joins OVO.

Is it weeks? If so how many?

Oh ok. It's usually up and running within six weeks of you joining
