Hello,
Is it possible to confirm the standard job price for installing an post meter supply isolator as part of a smart meter installation. I have seen other articles which point to a standard non essential maintenance cost schedule where the cost is stated as 158.25 for a single phase domestic installation. This can be reduced to £52 if done along side another job (but not SMEX)
Can i confirm what SMEX is please. i.e. is this a short code for a smart meter install or perhaps something slightly different (smart meter exchange perhaps) and thus i would get the lower isolator install price. (£52)
I currently have an old analogue meter and old consumer units which need to be upgraded. I must have an isolator so an electrician can safely and legally isolate the domestic supply post meter. I do also have a recently (approx 4 years ago) installed 100amp cut off fuse pre meter. So this is in good order and won’t require alteration as part of this work.
Also can i confirm the process to get the meter exchange and isolator booked, i.e. do i just put the request for the isolator on the “other” requirements as part of the booking application, it looks like that’s what to do but just checking.
regards
